Toraja traditional clothes
Toraja people mostly live in a valley between high
mountains and rugged granite cliffs. This corresponds to the Toraja word that
comes from the coast "to" meaning people and "Riaja"
meaning highland. Toraja culture in general is a Malay Proto Austronesian
civilization that is still well up to now. Custom clothing Torajanese called
Pokko dress' for women, while men in traditional clothing in Toraja called
Seppa tallung. The dominant color for traditional clothes are red, white, and
yellow. There is also Kandore, which is the Toraja traditional dresses with
decorative beads to decorate the chest, wristbands, headbands and belts.
